Status as of February 4, 1999 -

Rev 2.2 was approved as ANSI standard ANSI X3.254 in 1994. The document was processed on the ISO Fast Track path and is currently being processed as a Draft International Standard (DIS). It is unknown if anyone is actually using this standard. This standard will probably be withdrawn on its sunset date unless an implementation is identified. Rev 2.3 has the same technical content as the published ANSI standard. The Technical Editor responsibilities passed from Don Tolmie to Roger Ronald.

Fibre Channel - Mapping to HIPPI-FP (FC-FP)

This standard defines the frame format and protocol definitions required to transfer information for upper-layer protocols that use the High-Performance Parallel Interface - Framing Protocol (HIPPI-FP) when using a lower-layer serial link interface operating according to the Fibre Channel - Physical and Signaling Interface (FC-PH) and Fibre Channel - Enhanced Physical (FC-EP) requirements.
