Rev 2.2 was approved as ANSI standard ANSI X3.254 in 1994. The document was processed on the ISO Fast Track path and is currently being processed as a Draft International Standard (DIS). It is unknown if anyone is actually using this standard. This standard will probably be withdrawn on its sunset date unless an implementation is identified.
