ISO/IEC 11518-2:199x, the ISO version of Rev 4.8a is here. It is going through the ISO Fast Track process as a draft Internation Standard (DIS)

Status as of February 4, 1999 -

Rev 4.8a was approved as ANSI standard ANSI NCITS 210:1998 on June 9, 1998. ANSI publication is was completed in November 1998. The Rev 4.8 maintenance draft includes the changes made by ANSI in the publication process (e.g., NCITS membership list, front page, etc.). No additional changes have been proposed to date. The ISO version is being Fast Track processed in ISO as a draft International Standard (DIS). The Technical Editor responsibilities passed from Don Tolmie to Roger Ronald.

Abstract -

This document is a revision of ANSI X3.210-1992, High-Performance Parallel Interface - Framing Protocol (HIPPI-FP). It describes a framing protocol for the High-Performance Parallel Interface, a simple high-performance point-to-point interface for transmitting digital data at peak data rates of 800 or 1600 Mbit/s between data-processing equipment.
